I hate to say this, but my strongest response to this wonderful description of Paris is, "Which American slang terms did you teach the man from Africa?!" I really want to know!

Nick, this is one of my favorite entries of yours ever. You captured so much detail and so much of the sense of how your days went, I felt like I visited Paris again for a few minutes. I am so happy that you have a good travel partner in Dave and you're getting to do some extra Paris stuff. Too bad about the Conciergerie being a letdown. At least Cluny was pleasant for you this time!

Lucky you getting to go to the top of the Eiffel Tower. I would've liked to do that. Next time!

I think the French would call it boules rather than bocce. I think boules are smaller than bocce balls. The restaurant on the Boul Mich, if it is near the Fountain, may the place where your mother ordered and ate horsemeat many years ago, and where I had it a couple years earlier. I think that the party on Pont des Arts is one of the most wonderful things in Paris.

This is Mom. Good thing you write so fast. Hope you're feeling all well in time for Tanner and your trip. It will be good to have you home. I'm looking into rugs.

I'm glad that's you, Annalisa. I felt instantly shamed that Mary Jane knew more about all this new-fangled computer stuff than I do. You are allowed...you're younger ;)

I'm going to try to get the Rome and Florence pictures uploaded to Facebook tonight. Glad you liked the London ones. After I'm done with Facebook I'll work on a Flickr page, but I'm concerned I'll run over the file upload limit in a jiffy. That's the problem with high-quality pictures, unfortunately.

If I'm feeling up to it I'll also try to get a few pages of Dad's travel journal typed up for you. I feel about 85 years old, I'm so tired. Still wheezing like Mr. Whoopingcough, too (remember Mr. Whoopingcough, from our first trip to Rome?).
